Gluten Free Diet, Healthy Or Dangerous?

Eating gluten free food is usually done by those suffering from the celiac disease, a more serious form of gluten intolerance.

Celiac is a genetic disease, where patients undergo allergy due to intolerance to gluten, which causes changes in the gut, so malabsorption. Gluten is a protein found in wheat and rye. Smaller amounts are found in barley and wheat.

In the celiac patient’s body, partially gluten molecules joined by antibodies in the small intestine, causing the intestinal lining that does not mean to be flat. As a result of the flat surface, the intestine becomes less able to digest and absorb food. But if patients avoid foods containing gluten, the intestinal surface and will function normally again.

If left untreated, the disease can cause Celiac to other conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, osteoporosis, infertility, and neurological conditions. However, the only effective treatment for celiac when it is simply adopting a strict gluten-free diet for life.

A study conducted by Monash University, Australia, showed those who consumed gluten experience bloating and fatigue. But the evidence indicated they were weak and in another study, appears bloated allegations that caused certain carbohydrate consumption.

The medical practice of nonprofit experts and leading medical research group, Mayo Clinic, finds follow a gluten free diet for non sufferers celiac injurious to health. This caused a lack of intake of a number of nutrients. Gluten free diet can cause the body to lose calcium, iron, fiber, folate, thiamin, riboflavin, and niacin lower in the body.
